When the product is used on infected wounds, the infection should be inspected and treated according to local clinical protocols.<br \/>\nThe dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and surrounding skin, or until exudate is visible and approaches within 2 cm\/3\/16 inch of the dressing pad&#8217;s edge, whichever comes first. Local clinical protocols should also be considered.<br \/>\nIf dressings are applied to the sacral area, they may remain in place for up to 5 days; however, due to the increased risk of contamination and infection in this area, enhanced monitoring of dressing adherence may be required according to local clinical protocols.<br \/>\nThe decision on when to change should be based on clinical assessment, and local protocols should also be considered.<br \/>\nDressing Removal<br \/>\nTo remove ALLEVYN Adhesive, lift one edge of the dressing and slowly peel it away until completely removed from the wound.
